A narrow affirmative record
The selected Cheerios Original maker record carries a gluten-free claim. It belongs to that Original reference, not automatically to Honey Nut, a seasonal mix or another oat cereal. A family name and similar carton color are insufficient identifiers. A changed package should be checked rather than assumed to inherit every older claim.
No grain shortcut
Frosted Flakes begins with milled corn but also lists malt flavor, and we have not established a selected gluten-free claim. Life explicitly contains wheat. Neither corn nor the presence of oats elsewhere resolves a finished food's claim. Ingredient order provides evidence, but cannot replace missing manufacturer confirmation of a specific claim.
A claim is not personal clearance
Gluten-free and contains declarations are different fields. Neither supplies an assessment of every allergy, sensitivity or diagnosis. Our record does not prescribe a diet. A shopper can use the field to locate the exact label for further inspection, while unresolved individual questions require appropriate qualified advice.
A replacement workflow
Save the code and actual wording. When a reorder defaults to another size or flavor, compare identifiers before transferring the claim. If the received box lacks the expected statement, retain its lot and panel and ask the maker. We do not infer a claim from search tags, a bowl photograph or a competing seller's description.
Do not use a shopping filter as proof
Retailer search filters can be helpful for finding candidates but can also combine a product family or outdated tags. Confirm the claim on the exact manufacturer record or current package before relying on it. A checked gluten-free filter cannot make the selected Life wheat declaration disappear. Preserve an unresolved conflict instead of choosing whichever field would make the shortlist easier to finish.
Sources & scope
Checked November 5, 2026. Manufacturer and retailer references support the specific statements. Dated displayed prices are not final checkout quotes, performance rankings or performance testing. This shopping reference does not replace the exact product label or qualified individual advice. Current received labels and independent food/nutrition/content/commerce review remain pending.
