Begin with an explicit record
Life's versioned SmartLabel declares wheat and lists whole wheat flour. That is direct evidence for the selected product, rather than an inference from multigrain. Someone with an unresolved wheat question should not let a unit-price advantage erase that declaration. This shopping reference does not clear a product for an individual allergy.
Different fields have different purposes
A contains declaration identifies declared allergenic ingredients. A may-contain or shared-facility statement supplies a different manufacturing precaution when present. If a source supplies only one type, we do not manufacture the others. Absence from a scraped field does not prove an allergen-free facility or measure a person's cross-contact risk.
Do not overread a narrow field
Cheerios and Frosted Flakes records use wording about no declaration-obligatory allergens. We do not rename that allergy free. Frosted Flakes' malt-flavor ingredient also leaves a separate gluten question; a major-allergen field does not establish gluten-free status. The received box may contain relevant information absent from a web summary.
Before checkout
Match flavor, size and code, inspect the full current ingredient/allergen area, and ask the maker about a missing precaution that matters. If the version differs, leave suitability unresolved rather than copy another box's statement. The finder can show our bounded evidence. Medical and allergy decisions, current received labels and independent nutrition review remain outside its completed scope.
A missing facility statement
If the reviewed web page does not show a facility statement, you may know the declared ingredient allergens while still lacking the manufacturing detail you wanted. The honest record is facility information not established, not facility free from allergens. Ask the manufacturer with the exact UPC and current package details. Do not borrow a precaution from another flavor just because both cartons use the same brand name.

Checked November 5, 2026. Manufacturer and retailer references support the specific statements. Dated displayed prices are not final checkout quotes, performance rankings or performance testing. This shopping reference does not replace the exact product label or qualified individual advice. Current received labels and independent food/nutrition/content/commerce review remain pending.
