Make a shortlist by identity
The selected records are Cheerios Original in one 8.9 oz box, Frosted Flakes Original in one 13.5 oz box, and Quaker Life Original in one 13 oz box. Rings, flakes and squares describe physical formats; they are not nutrition grades or measured taste results. If you need a familiar replacement, match the Original name and package first. Honey Nut, Chocolate and Cinnamon variants have different identities even when the carton family looks familiar.
Separate three questions
Ask which exact food fits the purchase, how its printed nutrition is expressed, and what its selected offer costs. A lower box price may buy a smaller box. A smaller sugar number may refer to a different gram serving. A familiar grain ingredient does not resolve allergens. These are separate filters. Someone replacing Life Original should first confirm its wheat-containing label, rather than substitute a gluten-free claim from the oat-ring product.
Use a comparison order
Record flavor, product code, one-box versus multipack quantity, net weight and store conditions. Then copy the dry serving and total/added sugars fields. Compare price only on a supported common net-weight basis while keeping the box price visible as the cash outlay. If an essential condition is missing, retain an unknown instead of copying an adjacent size. Our finder exposes these fields without assigning a health ranking.
Decide what changes the order
An unavailable sale is not an immediately purchasable alternative. An allergen question can outweigh a unit-price advantage. A large pantry target can make whole-box rounding matter; a single replacement may need only one box. Write your actual constraint beside the shortlist and check the checkout description. No illustrated bowl establishes crunch, sweetness, milk absorption or personal suitability.
Try a constrained shortlist
Imagine you can collect groceries today but cannot accept delivery substitutions. In that situation, the observed unavailable Kroger sale cannot be treated as a ready purchase, even if its weight-normalized price is lowest. The two other records still need your actual store check. If a specific ingredient is the constraint instead, the relevant ingredient and claim field comes before the price sort. Write the constraint first so the comparison answers your question rather than producing an attractive but unusable ranking.
